Ad Gefrin Anglo-Saxon Museum & Whisky Distillery
2 July 2024, 12:30 - 16:00
Ad Gefrin, South Rd, Wooler, NE71 6NJ
Join us, alongside co-founder Eileen Ferguson, in this on-site visit where you'll learn all about Ad Gefrin Anglo-Saxon Museum and Whisky Distillery, one of the biggest tourism investments in Northumberland. This is a story of how a vision to celebrate the area’s unique Anglo-Saxon history has led to regeneration, redevelopment, and rediscovery.
This special visit, designed exclusively for our members will start with an introduction from Eileen, followed by a light buffet lunch served in the Den – the exclusive dining room set apart from the public areas. You will then begin the guided tour, led by Ad Gefrin Directors, firstly through the re-imagined Great Hall and Museum continuing through the distillery where you will learn about the inspiration and influences for Ad Gefrin’s award-winning spirits, and the first Northumbrian English Single Malt Whisky that is in the making. The event will culminate in a guided tasting of Ad Gefrin’s spirits by one of the knowledgeable ‘Alchemists’ in the Tasting Room.
This event is exclusively for entrepreneurial members of the Forum and costs £20 + VAT for lunch, payable in advance. No guests or substitutions are allowed.
By registering to attend this event you agree that your place is non-transferrable. We are unable to reimburse this cost if cancellations are received after 12noon on Tuesday 25th June 2024.
