About Our Subject Experts
James Allen - Graduating from Newcastle University with an MSc in Economics and Marketing, James went on to join leading advertising agency Yellow M in 1993. Rising to the position of Account Director, James managed a large team and blue chip accounts including IKEA, Littlewoods, Barker & Stonehouse, and Holland & Barrett.
In 2002 James formed brand communications agency Guerilla Communications, which has a diverse portfolio of global clients. His award-winning agency has advised and supported hundreds of global brands at Board Level, and James specialises in creating strategies that rapidly drive business development and growth for his clients. Leveraging his deep understanding of market dynamics and consumer behaviour, he crafts impactful campaigns that deliver outstanding results.
Gary Pickering - Guerilla's Creative Director, has amassed over 33 years experience in the advertising and marketing arena, including 22 years running his own successful design agency. He has worked extensively with a number of international bluechip companies as well as niche businesses, in a plethora of sectors. His award winning creative work has serviced clients including Universal Studios, Liebherr, Jaguar, Roca, Britvic, Aston Martin and Gala Bingo to name but a few.
Gary is a branding specialist and has an enviable reputation of producing highly creative and result driven work.
