North East Entrepreneurial Awards

For over 15 years we've been honouring entrepreneurs who have stood out from the crowd, leading dynamic, innovative businesses and making a genuine change to our region.

In partnership with the North East LEP, Our black-tie awards dinner is a fabulous evening of celebration and entertainment where the cream of entrepreneurial talent and leading figures within the North East business community come together to honour our high achievers.

Hosted by Benedict Allen, one of the world's leading modern day explorers, our Awards will recognise the region's most inspiring and successful entrepreneurs.

Nominations for Emerging Talent, sponsored by NBS, include Jordan McCabe (Aztec Diamond Equestrian), Mike O'Brien (Opencast Software) and Eve and Simon Whitaker (Master Debonair).

Sponsored by IA Growth, the Scale-up Award shortlist includes Julie Blackie (Pink Boutique), Kevin Brown (Pacifica Group), Steven Rawlingson (Samuel Knight International) and John Savage (Flame Heating Group).

Sponsored by Ward Hadaway, the honour of Entrepreneur of the Year will be going to either Stewart Grierson (UpNorth Engineering Services), Lee Hartley (Fairstone Group) or Lianne Walker (Walker Filtration).

Mentor of the Year, sponsored by Malhotra Group, is announced on the night and like Lifetime Achievement, is a closely guarded secret until the dinner.

The Lifetime Achievement award is sponsored this year by Make it Sunderland. Previous Lifetime award winners include Freddie Hoult, Sir Peter Vardy, Sir John Hall and John Fenwick.
