Lianne Walker MBE is the Group Managing Director of Walker Filtration, a designer, manufacturer and global exporter of high quality and exceptionally engineered filtration, vacuum and drying solutions based in Washington.

Appointed as Managing Director in 2005, and awarded an MBE for Services to Manufacturing and International Trade in 2008, Lianne is an energetic and highly motivated leader, with a proven record of delivering international business growth, innovative product development and geographical market expansion.

Lianne has overseen the growth of Walker Filtration from a £6m turnover business to a £30 turnover business serving a global market, through assembly and distribution hubs in the Americas, Australasia and Asia.

A marketer by trade, Lianne joined the family business in 1991 with a view to undertaking a short placement in the engineering focused business her father, Brian Walker MBE, had started in his garage eight years earlier. Lianne will be sharing the lessons she’s learned on a personal journey spanning 27 years, within a rapidly scaling business at the heart of UK exporting.

Passionate about people, Lianne believes the key to building a successful business is to provide opportunities at every level and assure personal development is a fundamental attribute within a business’s culture.
