Leaving his native Teesside for the bright lights of London, via Edinburgh University, Andy Preston gained business experience as a high profile City trader and was responsible for running a 5.5 billion international hedge fund business.

Andy has now returned to the North East on a permanent basis is involved in numerous NE businesses whilst investing in commercial property while his main focus has switched to a more philanthropic approach.

Patron of international children’s charity, ARC, for 6 years, founded Middlesbrough & Teesside Philanthropic Foundation, focussing on raising and distributing funds in urban Teesside areas, launched national charity CEO Sleepout and is currently working on launching a restaurant operated to create training for ex-offenders.
