On-site Visit to The Lakes Distillery

Join us as we head over the Pennines to a North East success story in the heart of the Lake District.

The Lakes Distillery is the brain Paul Currie who, with a little help from Entrepreneurs' Forum chairman Nigel Mills, has taken an innovative idea and turned it into an amazing reality.

During this on-site visit, you will not only hear from Paul about the journey he has been on raising funds, getting the project off the ground and setting up a world-class whisky, gin and vodka distillery, but also from Duncan McEwan (co-founder of Hedley McEwan) about how they created new brands in what is a hugely competitive marketplace dominated by corporate giants.

Following a spectacular 25 mile journey from the source of the river Derwent to the sea (via visual mastery), you will get to see the distillery where all of the spirits are created.

Top that off with a little tasting session and a visit to Terry Laybourne's on-site bistro for a spot of lunch and we think this might just be one of the best distillery tours in the world!
