Breakfast Briefing - Let's Grow

We’re delighted to join with Trinity Mirror and BE Group for a one off Breakfast Briefing to explain Let’s Grow, an initiative to help local businesses fulfil their potential.

Let's Grow is a £60m Regional Growth Fund programme for the North East supporting private sector capital investment and R&D projects.

The programme has been in operation since 2013 and is due to run until March 2017. Since the programme began over 90 companies have been offered grants totalling in excess of £25m.

BE Group and UNW will present an update on the programme so far and explain how business owners can take advantage.

Grants will be available from between £50,000 and £1m for capital expenditure projects and research and development with the grant representing between 10 and 30 per cent of the total cost of any project.

The programme is run as a quarterly competition.The deadline for submitting expressions of interest in the current competition is 23rd January 2015. Application forms, more information and the programme guidelines can be downloaded from the BE Group website.

Entrepreneurs' Forum Chairman Nigel Mills is one of the business leaders who sits on the investment panel that selects the right applications to go forward for funding.

Entrepreneurs who have previously been awarded RGF investment will also be on hand to explain the benefits of the scheme.
