The Lakes Distillery Announces a Crowdfunding Campaign with Crowdcube

On 1st March, The Lakes Distillery is launching a Crowdcube fundraising campaign to support an increase in production of the award-winning Lakes Single Malt Whisky.

Following a two-year expansion project to triple spirit-making capacity and grow the cask warehousing footprint at their state-of-the-art distillery, the Lake District whiskymaker is poised to increase the amount of single malt spirit they lay down and mature into future stock.

The fundraising comes at an exciting time for the distillery, following a series of successes that have ensured The Lakes is listed in some of the most prestigious bars, restaurants and hotels, and the finest whisky retailers in the UK.

Working in partnership with international distributors in China, Japan, Singapore, and across Europe, they have plans to launch into some of the biggest whisky markets in the world.

On a mission to make one of the finest sherry matured single malt whiskies in the world, The Lakes Distillery has raised and invested over £30m since it was founded in 2011, including £1.7m from a Crowdcube fundraise in 2017.
