The Executives into Business model has so far placed 35 business executives in companies in a range of sectors, and is an exemplar in research commercialisation.

The execs form a team with some of the greatest academic minds to lead a company from pre-startup, taking world-leading research ‘from lab to life’, making a social impact as well as boosting job creation and economic growth in the region.

Once you’re in the pool you’ll have the opportunity to put yourself forward for specific opportunities as they arise.

Execs into Business opportunities are high-responsibility positions, in a micro business environment so you’ll be a hands-on business leader balancing multiple tasks and making rapid and considered business decisions. In return, with funding from ERDF and Research England’s Connecting Capability Fund, we’re able to offer the best business leaders remuneration as well as business shares.

What do Northern Accelerator execs into business do?

Roles vary for each opportunity, but generally our executives: * Develop a business plan that has considered the best sales and go-to market strategy * Work with the existing team to map out the key activities and resources needed to finalise product development * Raise funds to support the development and commercialisation activities * Implement the correct quality systems to ensure regulatory requirements are met * Develop an innovation pathway for other products or new applications

They’re also responsible for legal compliance, mission, policy and planning, management, financing and market development.
