The Brilliant Breakfast

In Aid of The Prince’s Trust Women Supporting Women Campaign

14 October 2021, 08:30 - 10:30

The Secret Tower, Sallyport Tower, Tower Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 2HY

On Thursday 14th October, start your day with a 'Brilliant Breakfast' that will literally change lives - by raising money for young women in the UK who need our support, helping them to wake up to a more positive future.

Our Brilliant Breakfast, which is hosted by Entrepreneurs' Forum board member Kari Owers (the first North East ambassador for the Prince’s Trust ‘Women Supporting Women’ #ChangeaGirlsLife campaign) brings entrepreneurs together to make new connections and be inspired all whilst making a difference.

Kari will chair a discussion between a panel of some of our region’s most exciting and inspirational entrepreneurs and business leaders, looking at how they tread their own path and what challenges they faced along the way.

Our panel includes:

Kari Owers, MD O Agency

Joanna Feely, Founder and CEO, Trend Bible

Katy Sayburn, CEO, ex Monarch Group director and business leader

Emma Quinn, Consultant and Prince's Trust Ambassador

To book, please purchase your ticket via Eventbrite.

About the Brilliant Breakfast and Women Supporting Women Campaign

The North East has the third highest unemployment rate in the UK (5.4% - NE Data Hub) with the age group most impacted being 16-24 year olds (14% are unemployed).

At the start of the pandemic, more than 78 per cent of those who lost their jobs were women and two-thirds were between the ages of 18 and 34, according to UK wide research by PWC.

The Brilliant Breakfast hopes to change that, by raising funds to help young women access support to reskill, get a job or start their own business via the Prince’s Trust Cheryl centre in Newcastle, where they can receive specialist support, courses and access to funding.

Women Supporting Women and its #ChangeaGirlsLife campaign ensures that young women’s futures are not predetermined by circumstance. Its tailored programmes and long-term support give young people the practical skills and emotional resilience to pick themselves back up and create their own positive futures.

Brilliant Breakfast’s will be taking place up and down the country but we'd love you to join ours and hear more from our inspiring panel on what shaped their ambitions, their journey into entrepreneurship and how they managed to carve out their own path to success.

The Small Print - Tickets cost £15 with profits going to the Prince’s Trust ‘Women Supporting Women’ fund (to be spent right here in the North East).
