Managing director, Emma Gaudern, heads the EMG Solicitors team and is regularly called upon by high-net-worth individuals to assist with wills, trusts, probate and inheritance tax planning matters. Emma is also nationally one of the top leading individuals in the field of Court of Protection and EMG Solicitors has been highlighted previously in the Legal 500 as ‘among the finest court of protection firms in the country.’ Emma is a Court of Protection deputy and also acts as a professional trustee in a number of high value personal injury trusts. She is a member of STEP, treasurer for the Northern Acquired Brain Injury Forum and a Headway County Durham committee member. Emma is also a regular speaker on the conference circuit.

Emma qualified as a Solicitor in 1999 and previously worked at law firms in Manchester before relocating to the North East in 2010, for personal reasons, where she joined a large North East law firm and was later appointed as Head of their Wills, Trusts & Probate team. In 2013 Emma made the move to set up EMG Solicitors Limited and the business was founded by Emma Gaudern and Jemma Morland in 2014, employing just a handful of staff covering a select number of areas. EMG Solicitors now has a team of over 30 employees and offers a wide range of legal services.

Emma is managing director of EMG Solicitors and as well as running the business, is also regularly instructed in high profile cases for both claimants and defendants as an expert witness in the field of Court of Protection.
