Claire is the founder of Definition IP, a UK, Irish and European Patent Attorney firm. Claire launched Definition IP in January 2016 with the aim of providing clear, commercially focused-advice and services relating to Intellectual Property, with a particular focus on small to mid-size companies or businesses going through growth or change, who may not have in-house IP expertise but are looking to maximise the value of IP in their business.

As well as managing the ongoing growth and running of Definition IP, Claire works closely with several key Clients to provide strategic IP advice.

With over 18 years of experience in the field of intellectual property (IP), Claire has particular specialist technical expertise in the life sciences and medical device fields as well as in the food and drink sector. She also has significant experience in providing strategic assistance to companies in all technology areas who are going through a period of transition, such as a funding stages from seed to IPO, where a well-managed IP strategy can be a significant asset.
