As event, production and communication company, R&B Group approach their 21st year in business, the firm reports a very positive six months trading.
Figures show a 25% increase in sales on the first half year, compared to that of last year; with the new work coming increasingly from outside of the region. R&B Group are enjoying a return to growth following a 3 year decline in sales. The enforced increase in efficiency which the downturn brought is now paying dividends, as activity levels return to pre-2009 heights.
The outlook seems positive and the Group feel confident for the future. Although there seems to be a lag in recovery in our region, R&B Group have events booked with National and International organisations over the coming months. And while margins have undoubtedly been squeezed here, their Yorkshire branch remains steady.
Directors Antony Crerar and Barry Fox believe that this success is due to the positive attitude of their workforce and the recruitment of great people. Antony comments, "We have recently recruited an Assistant Project Manager to the events team, an NVQ Apprentice to the workshop and a Creative Designer, whose expertise will help in the delivery of 3D and augmented reality projects for our clients. And we still have vacancies to fill for both experienced and budding technical event professionals."
The business deals with many events every day for hundreds of clients throughout the country and are just hoping that time will allow in their busy diary, for the preparation of their own 21st Birthday celebrations which are due later this year!
