Explain, the Newcastle based engagement and insight company, has just strengthened its team by adding two new staff to its pool of researchers who bring experience and raw talent to the business
Chris Sutherland completed a 12 month placement at Explain, returning to Northumbria University to complete his final year of his Marketing Management degree in September 2011 and has since graduated with first class honours. Explain has a history of investing in young talent and were keen for Chris to continue to be part of the team. Chris will work across the qualitative and quantitative teams as a junior research executive providing support to project managers.
Nicola Moore brings with her ten years experience in the market research industry having worked with clients in health, retail planning and consumer research. Nicola has joined the team as a quantitative market research executive working on some of Explain's largest contracts for organisations such as Northumbrian Water, Raven Housing and Newcastle Building Society.
Emma Dallolio, newly promoted Research Director, commented:
"Having worked with Chris for a year we knew we had found something special and so did not want to let that go. Luckily due to organisational growth we were able to offer Chris a job and we could not be happier to welcome him into the team to continue with his training.
Nicola has really hit the ground running which is just what we needed as workload has stepped up. We have big plans for 2012/2013 and knew we needed to invest in some key people to continue to push for the level of growth we have seen for the past few years despite market challenges. A number of internal promotions have also strengthened the team and we are confident we will achieve the £1.1m target we have set ourselves for this year."
