Gateshead-based AYO Media has created a sales management system for one of the biggest names in the world's air filtration sector, AAF International.
The half a billion dollar manufacturing company, which makes air filtration equipment for global firms like Siemens, GE and Rolls Royce, utilised the expertise of the agency's development team to build a bespoke quotation system to support its Power and Industrial arm in the UK and the US.
The developers at AYO Media have been working closely with AAF's UK operations in Cramlington over the last six months. This led to the introduction of the management software that has allowed AAF's sales engineers to reduce the average time to create a new quote from weeks to hours.
Dave Carroll, sales director at AAF UK's Power & Industrial Division, said: "We needed a new quotation tool so called in AYO Media to tailor-make a quote generation system for us that allowed our sales engineers to create often complex customer quotations in a simple, efficient and professional manner, all in one place.
"Not only has the new automated system become a reality and helped us achieve this operational objective but it has also given us a management tool that allows supervisors to oversee our sales pipeline, engineer activities and potential revenue at the click of a button.
"It has been great working with the team at AYO Media as they have brought a huge amount of expertise, creativity and knowledge to the table. The new system is helping us reduce administration time and the costs associated with generating quotes, which in turn is freeing up time for our sales engineers to concentrate on the quality of proposals and drive sales revenue," added Mr Carroll.
With around 2800 employees across 24 countries, AAF employs 250 people at its facility in Northumberland, which recently invested £1m in a new research and development centre.
Rob Mathieson, managing director at AYO Media, said: "The quote generation system we have developed for AAF is custom-built around its current and future commercial needs as opposed to an off-the-shelf option that can often do more harm than good to businesses.
"This type of software development project is the kind that delivers the greatest return on investment for clients by taking traditionally labour-intensive processes and procedures online and consolidating them all in one place. We are delighted to see the AAF sales team already reaping the rewards of the system and long may it continue."
Fast-growing AYO Media recently took on several new apprentices at its new headquarters at the Northern Design Centre in Gateshead, which shortly followed the opening of a second site in Manchester. The employment opportunities it is creating recently attracted the attention of Royalty with His Royal Highness, The Duke of York KG, visiting the company's offices.
The digital business specialises in delivering business solutions for web and mobile devices, in addition to complex and highly technical web development projects. Its experts are often briefed to deliver business critical web-based software that assist clients in driving efficiency and improving profitability.
Established in 2008 by Rob Mathieson, Tony Olanipekun and Kevin Reece, AYO Media works with SMEs and large organisations nationally, across a number of sectors including manufacturing, utilities, property and retail.
