Fast- fashion retailer Pink Boutique has been named as one of the 50 fastest growing companies across the North East.
The company is listed in the Ward Hadaway North East Fastest 50 for 2018, a list of the fastest growing businesses in the region put together by UK Top 100 law firm Ward Hadaway and supported by The Journal newspaper.
The Ward Hadaway North East Fastest 50 highlights and celebrates the achievements of fast-growing, profitable companies in the region by compiling and publishing an annual list of the 50 fastest growing privately-owned businesses across the North East.
Pink Boutique has made it into the 2018 list – the 21st in the event's history in the firm's 30th anniversary year - after achieving three years of strong turnover growth whilst still remaining profitable. This accolade sits alongside other recent acknowledgements for the company’s phenomenal growth, including featuring in the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 for three consecutive years.
Just six years after the brand’s invention, the company now employs around 80 people at a 60,000sqft warehouse in Newcastle upon Tyne. As a prime example of a female first business, Pink Boutique sees mother and daughter Julie Blackie and Alice Hall at its helm, holding positions as Finance Director and Creative Director respectively. Singled out for her prowess in retail and commerce, Alice Hall, has previously earned herself a spot on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe List.
Pink Boutique will now go forward to the Ward Hadaway North East Fastest 50 Awards 2018 on October 12, where awards will be given to the fastest growing large, medium and small businesses in the region as well as an award for the overall fastest growing business.
Speaking of making the Fastest 50, Co-founder and Creative Director of Pink Boutique, Alice Hall said,
“We are absolutely delighted to have made the Ward Hadaway North East Fastest 50 for 2018, where we are amongst some incredibly inspiring local businesses.
“Our goal to disrupt the fast-fashion industry by offering affordable fashion to girls who want to look glam no matter the occasion has been resonating with customers looking for a more immersive shopping experience. We’d like to thank our customers for helping us continue on our growth journey and we look forward to what the future holds for us.”
Martin Hulls, Managing Partner at Ward Hadaway, said:
"Congratulations to Pink Boutique and every company in the Ward Hadaway North East Fastest 50 for 2018 for their fantastic achievement in making this year's list in our 30th anniversary year.
"The Fastest 50 shows what terrific companies we have in the region and underlines what a great place the North East is to do business."
