Architect Boosts Team to Meet Continued Demand

Architect Howarth Litchfield, is continuing with its detailed growth plans as demand for its award-winning architectural and interior design services increases apace and has created a further two new positions in its Durham office.

The latest arrivals at the practice are Paul Skepper and Daniel Salkeld.

Experienced architect, Paul has been appointed as project architect.  Looking forward to being involved with progressive architecture at both conceptual and technical stages, he is currently working on a variety of schemes including improvements to a nature reserve visitor centre, a vets practice in Stockton on Tees and a master plan and new swimming pool on two holiday parks in the region.

Durham lad Daniel, one of a clutch of talented students to graduate this year from Northumbria University (Northumbria), has joined Howarth Litchfield as an architectural technologist.  In addition to his studies at Northumbria, he also possesses a qualification in graphic design, which, he believes, will help him to become an accomplished technologist.

Speaking about his first permanent opportunity in the world of work, Daniel said he was inspired to join Howarth Litchfield because of its growing reputation as a regional practice which works throughout the UK on a range of interesting schemes across the commercial, education, private residential and healthcare sectors.  While at university he was also struck by partner Neil Turner’s enthusiasm and knowledge of architecture when he gave a presentation at the university.

Commenting on the further expansion of the team, Neil Turner said:

“I’m delighted to welcome both Paul and Daniel to the practice. Paul’s experience adds further depth to our versatile team of architects and interior designers and increases our ability to respond to the growing number of enquiries and appointments we continue to receive. Meanwhile, I’m extremely confident that Daniel too will make a positive contribution and by working with such an experienced team will hone his technical skills quickly. “
