Martin Anderson’s career began as an apprentice with the American telecoms giant Comcast where he learned the skills of good management, how to build a team environment and engender loyalty.
In establishing Lemon Business Solutions in Stockton in 2003 and recruiting his team, he has created a mutually supportive culture where staff build friendships and are rewarded well for their commitment.
Martin was still a full time Telecoms Engineer when he and partner Lesley started Lemon in a small flat above a garage with no heating, and from day one they have been providing a 24/7 call management service.
Initially for local glaziers and plumbers the service rapidly grew and the catalyst for expansion was attracting a major lift engineering company, and then, as word of their service spread, this was followed by major clients from diverse markets sectors, which now includes one of the largest law firms in the world.
“We get a real buzz out of working with people,” he says. “I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved and that it’s all been done organically and by referral. We are very positive and passionate about what we do and we are focused on setting excellence as standard.”
What we do
Lemon is a 24 x 7 Call Centre, offering bespoke Call Management Solutions, concentrating on high quality rather than high quantity.
Lemons vision is to be widely recognised as the preferred supplier of 24 x 7 Call Management Solutions for customer focused organisations, and to be the flagship for quality of service.
Expertise to offer
Eight years experience growing a company organically from zero. Experiences and lessons learnt along the way, of which there are many! I also have particular experience in the telecommunications trade having undertaken an apprenticeship as a Telecommunications Engineer, and working within the industry for nearly ten years, before going full time with Lemon which I co-founded in 2003.
I Wish to Learn
I am looking forward to listening and learning from my peers and their experiences. My company is at an important stage of it's development and I believe that being part of the EF, and all that I can learn from it, will help me acheive it's potential.
