John Rowell

Managing Director , Jasprint

Member Profile

As voters put their cross on local election ballot papers in May chances are they will be marking the products of one of the Forum’s newest members.

Meanwhile eagle-eyed fans of Coronation Street will spot another product of John Rowell’s business when character Kevin Webster wins the jackpot on a lottery scratchcard in an up-coming episode.

They’re just two examples of Jasprint products, which can range from business cards and leaflets to posters and display banners for clients such as Barclays, Northern Rock and Britvic. Everything is printed in Washington with the very latest digital technology and to the highest quality supported by a level of experience the business has built up over three decades.

Jasprint was established by John’s father and he worked his way through the ranks before becoming managing director three years ago when John senior retired. Brother Adrian is production director.

“I came straight from college so it’s all I’ve known. I’m keen to hear from Forum members about their experience and different management styles,” said John.

In the face of increased competition Jasprint is focusing on its core business, in particular supplying trade clients such as advertising agencies, but has also launched its own brand of photo books and calendars at flashbangbook.co.uk, with a percentage of profits going to charity.
