Members-only Breakfast Event with Bank of England policymaker Ben Broadbent12th September 2012
Vicarage Road, Darlington DL1 1JW
Date & Time:
What do the policymakers really think about where the economy is going and what are the Bank of England’s solutions? The Entrepreneurs’ Forum brings you an exclusive insight through the eyes of one of the UK’s leading economists and former Treasury adviser Dr Ben Broadbent.
Entrepreneurs are never short of opinions when it comes to the economy, so this is the perfect chance to air them while enjoying a rare opportunity to hear from one of the men at the heart of the Bank of England.
Following a short presentation from Ben, there will be a private question time where members will get the chance to ask questions about the key risks facing the economy, the implications for policymakers and how the direction the economy is predicted to take will affect their businesses.
We are delighted to have Entrepreneurs' Forum board member and Senior Parnter of Recognition PR, Graham Robb to facilitate this event.
Dr Ben Broadbent joined the Monetary Policy Committee in 2011. He was formerly an Economic Adviser at HM Treasury and Assistant Professor of Economics at Columbia University from 1997-2000. For the decade prior to his appointment to the MPC, Dr Broadbent was Senior European Economist at Goldman Sachs, during which time he researched and wrote widely on the UK economy and monetary policy.
Dr Broadbent graduated with a BA in Economics from Cambridge University in 1988, and in 1997 completed a PhD in Economics at Harvard University, where he was a Fulbright Scholar.
