19th January 2010 - Creating a Revolutionary Business - Half Day Workshop with Andy Hanselman

Creating a Revolutionary Business - Half Day Workshop with Andy Hanselman
Innovation is a way of life for thriving businesses and this short, sharp high impact workshop will provide busy entrepreneurs with practical advice on how you can make good ideas work and ensure your teams are constantly innovating in a bid to stay ahead of the competition.

During this half day workshop, Forum favourite Andy Hanselman will deliver a focused approach to generating and exploiting ideas to improve business in the areas that count and to make innovation really work in your business.

In today's crowded market place, ever increasing customer choice, pressure on margin and stretched resources means it's never been more difficult to get your business ahead of the competition and vitally, to stay there. It's clear that the businesses that take a proactive approach to improving performance, competitiveness and profitability are the ones that ‘get ahead'.

It's about ‘innovation' - not necessarily lots of new products and services, but a proactive approach to successfully exploiting new ideas, and making them work in the areas that count. It means getting ‘innovation' on the agenda, involving and engaging your people, and about ‘making things happen'. Do you maximise innovation in your business or is it ‘left to chance'?

This is not about ‘blue sky thinking' or ‘wacky' ideas generation - it's about taking a focussed and pragmatic approach to improving the way you run, and vitally, improve your business.

In successful businesses, innovation is a way of life.  You'll discover how forward thinking leaders create a climate of creativity, innovation and competitiveness, how they get their people ‘on board' and crucially how they ensure that it ‘delivers the goods' in terms of tangible business improvements.

This morning workshop session will cover eight simple techniques for problem solving, creative thinking, ideas generation and people involvement. Andy will introduce simple, effective systems and processes for business improvement that work and deliver results, sharing how forward thinking leaders identify, encourage and support their most innovative people, regardless of whatever role they play in the business.

The session covers:
  • What really is innovation and what does it mean for your business?
  • The common barriers to making innovation work and how to overcome them
  • The role of the leader - How to get innovation on the agenda
  • Business improvement ideas - where do they come from and how can you create more?
  • Creating a supportive climate for innovation and continuous improvement in your business
  • Maximising your people's creativity and problem-solving energy
  • Making innovation work - practical tools to dramatically improve your business performance
  • Taking Action - Developing an innovation plan for your business

This event will be delivered by Business on the Front Foot pioneer Andy Hanselman, an acknowledged expert on customers, competence and competitive advantage.
